UNITECH-GEAR Expands Production Capacity

UNITECH-GEAR is pleased to announce the completion of our new production workshop, adding 2,000 square meters of manufacturing space and increasing our overall production capacity by approximately 40%.

New Equipment

The expanded facility houses 8 additional Japanese all-electric precision injection molding machines (30-200 ton range), bringing our total fleet to over 20 machines. Three new Charmilles EDM machines and two 5-axis CNC machining centers have been added to our mold-making department. A new Class 100,000 clean room enables production of medical-grade components.

Enhanced Capabilities

The expansion enables: (1) Higher volume production — annual gear output increases from approximately 50 million to 70 million pieces, (2) Faster mold delivery — reduced lead times through parallel processing on additional EDM and CNC capacity, (3) New material processing — dedicated production cells for high-temperature engineering plastics (PEEK, PEI, PPS), (4) Expanded assembly services — new semi-automated assembly lines for gearbox and actuator assembly.

Quality Investment

The expansion includes a new metrology laboratory equipped with a Zeiss CMM, Keyence 3D optical profiler, and gear meshing analyzer capable of measuring transmission error to sub-micron resolution. This investment reinforces our commitment to quality as we grow.

This capacity expansion positions UNITECH-GEAR to better serve our global customers with shorter lead times, higher volumes, and continued precision quality.
